Tenants
Jason A. Pollack was trained by the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco in Landlord/Tenant Litigation Practice. As a first year lawyer, Mr. Pollack gained valuable litigation experience representing low-income tenants defending Unlawful Detainer (eviction) cases. As such, Mr. Pollack developed a strong proficiency with the highly technical San Francisco Rent Control Ordinance (Residential Rent Stabilization And Arbitration Ordinance) and represented many tenants in his 10 years of litigation practice.
In Los Angeles, Mr. Pollack has also represented many tenants including those whose tenancies are governed by the Los Angeles Rent Control Ordinance. He has prevailed in defending their rights to stay in the unit or to be paid the proper compensation for relocating.
Landlords
At The Law Offices of Jason A. Pollack, we recognize that many people invest in rental properties to help supplement their income or to help make property ownership more affordable. Not all property owners are tyrants; in this market, they are regular people trying to get a foothold.
We understand that property owners wish to enforce their rights to reside in the properties they own or preserve their units from waste or damage. By representing both landlords and tenants, The Law Offices of Jason A. Pollack is able to understand and assist both landlords and tenants in their litigation needs. We have assisted landlords in both the commercial and residential settings, including many single family home owners, who feel trapped by the bureaucracy of local ordinances.
